Investigation Hub
We have had a wonderful first week of the autumn term. It has been lovely to welcome back all of the children and families who are returning, including those children who have joined us from The Discovery Hub.
We have also been visiting some new children at home and welcoming them for transition visits with their parents. Many of the children have new groups and key people this term, and they are already beginning to settle well into their new groups, which is wonderful to see.
Over the summer, we worked incredibly hard as a staff team to enhance the learning space by changing the layout of the classroom and adding some new resources. We are spending time introducing the children to the new areas, where resources are stored and what is available. We encourage the children to care for their environment through our tidy-time routine, which gives them ownership and a sense of responsibility for caring for their shared space.!
We have also had some new staff join us this year. Erin and Lyneisha have joined us as teachers in the Investigation Hub. Erin works Monday to Thursday with Lyneisha joining the team every Friday. Sumaira is also new to the team, with so much early years expertise to share. She will be working every Wednesday to Friday. As a team we look forward to meeting you and building strong relationships over the coming weeks.
Parents as Partners
Please check Famly regularly, as this is where we share key information, details of upcoming events and observations of your child’s learning and development.
We would also like to remind you to clearly label your child’s coat and belongings with their name and, for the safety of all children, that jewellery should not be worn at nursery.
We really value working in partnership with our families to ensure every child is happy, settled and thriving at nursery. If you have any questions, concerns or anything you would like to share, a member of staff will always be happy to have a chat with you.
Have a wonderful weekend,
The Nursery Team
