The Den:
We were greeted with smiles by our children Monday morning, what a lovely way to start the day! The children have been very busy this week!
Characteristics of learning:
What a busy week we have had, the children have been full of smiles all week!
Following on from the children’s huge interest in bubbles we created some huge bubbles ourselves with a bubble wand in the outdoor environment. The children really enjoyed popping them using their fingers.
All the children have enjoyed painting with cars this week also as they explored rolling them over the paper. Through this exploration, the children’s communication has developed with knowing and understanding different colours along with the different types of vehicles they picked such as police car, ambulance and trucks. The children have been fascinated with the marks they have created.
This week Anna created a tray filled with different silver-coloured objects and materials. The children were curious with the items offered and explored the various objects developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Parents as partners:
Next week we are celebrating ‘belonging week’ and how we all belong here at Bensham Grove! We ask that the belonging posters of your child that have been previously handed out are handed back in and signed on the back if you give your child permission for their poster to be displayed.
Another reminder that we ask that all children arrive at nursery with sun cream applied. We will be asking parents to apply our nursery sun cream at drop off.
Nursery will be closed for staff training day on the 26th of June.
We hope everyone enjoys there weekend!
