The Nest

Hope you all have had a lovely Christmas and new year, we welcome you back after a lovely two weeks off. The children have adjusted well getting back into the nursery routine. We have had some new children start with us in the Nest this week, they have done so well with getting use to their new surroundings.

The children demonstrated good fine motor skills as they participated in some mark making. The children watched the adult use the crayon and they imitated the motion of creating lovely marks. The children showed good control in holding the crayons developing their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. There was some lovely interactions with lots of babble sounds and smiling between the children.

Our focused song of the week has been Bah Bah Black Sheep” The children have been engaged in listening to the song, looking at different pictures alongside each other.

Staffing update

Emily has joined our team in the Nest this term. Emily worked downstairs in the Investigation hub with the 3-5s and is very excited to work with our younger children. Emily gained her child care qualification whilst doing her apprenticeship at Bentham Grove.
